We purchased allergy cards for a nut allergy sufferer. We used them for two weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia in bars, cafes and restaurants without any problems or misunderstanding. We received help from staff, and no mishaps with the food.
My fiancée has a lethal seafood allergy. In many restaurants we presented the card which helped us avoid restaurants that could put her in danger.
