Kyle Dine
Hey I'm Kyle. I have multiple food allergies to peanut, tree nuts, egg, fish, shellfish and mustard.
As Founder and CEO of Equal Eats, I grow the business so we can help more people travel the world safely. I wear many hats from managing people, business strategy, and every day operations.

I've grown up with multiple food allergies since the age of two. I also had and still have serious asthma and eczema. Managing severe life-threatening allergies in the 80's and 90's was not easy. My parents had a tough time getting other people to believe them that allergies were even real. I'm grateful my parents were so supportive and did such a great job teaching me how to keep safe with my allergies from very early on.
However, I often felt excluded from other events, and made to feel like a burden because of my food allergies. As a teenager, I still kept safe and always carried my epinephrine with me and wore medical ID's. On a couple of occasions, I did take some risks with my allergies which resulted in a few reactions, including a very severe anaphylactic reaction at age 21 that really changed the trajectory of my life.
For a while I was a real homebody. But I took a big jump in my early 20's and decided to go on exchange in Europe. It was a life changing experience that opened my eyes to the world. I loved it and developed the travel bug immediately! Since then I've traveled across the world, visiting over 30 countries, and have made a lifetime of memories.

I started Allergy Translation Inc back in 2006 during my final year of university. I wanted to try starting a business, and very quickly learned how much work was involved! I launched but initially didn't make much progress. As I started putting increasingly more time into my business it grew and was even featured on the Martha Stewart show.
I went back to school and received my Masters in Management Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Queen's University (Kingston, Canada). I blew up my previous iteration of the business and started from scratch. I conducted research with over 2,000 stakeholders and landed upon the current business model and brand we have today - Equal Eats. It was the most important year for professional development of my life.

Equal Eats has now continued to serve tens of thousands of people. I'm so proud of all of our growth in product, community and team. I continue to be dedicated to helping our community enjoy food all around the world. Our people and process continue to set us a part as a company that does the right thing. I know first-hand how serious food allergies can be, and I'm proud to create products for our community that I personally rely upon myself to stay safe.
Equal Eats is a better way for our community to communicate abroad, so you can feel more confident while enjoying the world. We all deserve an equal opportunity to live and enjoy a normal meal...just like everyone else.

I have a real passion for music and greatly enjoy spreading allergy education to youth. I wish this existed when I was young. It really empowers kids to stay safe, and support their friends. To date, I have perfomed at over 1,000 schools and for over 1 million kids.
I also love songwriting and performing with my band. I spend much of my time in Slovenia where I really enjoy learning the language and experiencing it's unique culture.
