Welcome to our new home!
Welcome and thanks for being here! I wanted to share a bit about me and the company before diving further.
I'm Kyle Dine, the CEO and Founder of Allergy Translation Inc. I started this company 13 years ago after experiencing a scary allergic reaction overseas, all because my food allergies were literally lost in translation. It sparked an idea for a solution, which has truly grown organically ever since.
This year I decided to go back to school and get a Master's in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Queen's University. My goal was to gain the knowledge, skills and support to grow this business to new heights.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned this year was the importance of your company's "why". If you are not familiar with Simon Sinek, I highly recommend watching this Ted Talk. Essentially, I felt that AllergyTranslation.com could be better at being aligned with its true purpose and mission: to help people enjoy food everywhere.
Whether you have food allergies, celiac disease or other dietary restrictions, I don't think we currently get an equal "seat at the table". We don't always have a pleasant dining out experience, and we certainly don't get to enjoy food - just like everybody else.
I want our dietary translation cards to not only open doors, but open new experiences and overall enjoyment for all. I believe these cards are only the beginning, and I am really looking forward to sharing the future vision with all of you and having your help in growing this into something really special.
